Dan Zolkowski earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science, with honors, from Western Michigan University, and his Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in December 1982. He was admitted to the Michigan Bar in May 1983.

Dan’s career spans both private practice and in-house corporate counsel. He served as a Partner at McGinty Law from 1992 to 2002, and most recently served as Assistant General Counsel at AFGroup from 2002 to 2026, where he represented Accident Fund insured employers in litigated workers’ compensation claims.

Dan is currently serving as Chairperson of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar of Michigan. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Dan will continue to represent employers and insurance companies in litigated workers’ compensation claims.
